THE OLYMPICS TO BE HOSTED
PERMANENTLY IN GREECE
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
Suggestions made world wide that the Olympic
Games should be hosted in Greece permanently.
It is not fair for wealthy countries to have the honor
to organize the games while others not as fortunate not to
be able.
Greece is the mother land of the Olympics and has the
right to demand the repatriation.

The first Olympic
Games (Games=agonistic events)
|
The first modern Olympic Agones*(Games=agonistic
events) took place in Athens, from 18th October to 15th of
November in 1859. The 2nd Olympiad took place in Athens at 1870.
The 3rd Olympiad took place in Athens at 1875. And the 4th
Olympiad took place also in Athens with great success on the 1888.
The event emerged International interest according to the news
agencies,
«that the Olympic spirit has resurrected from the
original land they where born»
The first International Committee of the Olympics was formed in
1894 and the games took place in Athens in 1896,
|
(therefore it is wrong to believe that the first modern
Olympics took place in 1896).

*Agon (agony) -
Αγών = Struggle to achieve glory, battle:
The Olympic Games (=Agonistic events) in fact they are not
games, because games are for amusement

The first Marathon
runner
|
Well known full day runner Fidipidis
(Φειδιππίδης)
he run in two days the distance from Athens to Sparta, (about 230
kilometers) few days before the battle of Marathon to seek
immediate help.Spartans didn`t reply to the Athenians.
Also another important full day
runner by the name Euclis
(Ευκλής) from the historic
and heroic event of the Athenians in the Marathon battle against
the Persians, he ran from Marathon to Athens to spread the news
"we won"
(νενικήκαμεν)
and he died in shortness of breath.
|
(therefore it is wrong to believe that it was Fidipidis the
Marathon runner).
